̨swag Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) is an education charity and not-for-profit sponsor of primary, junior and secondary academies which is recognised nationally as one of the highest performing family of schools in the North of England.

OGAT currently sponsors more than 40 academies, raising standards and transforming the lives of more than 30,000 students in their classrooms. The family of schools work together to ensure that all children, irrespective of their starting point, receive an excellent education.

The recruitment event will be held at Jurys Inn, located on Fry St, Middlesbrough and will run across two days. Anyone wanting more information can drop in at the event any time between 8am – 8pm on Tuesday 15 November or 8am and 4pm on Wednesday 16 November. All are welcome and the event will be family friendly, allowing for people to attend with their children if needed.

Colleagues from OGAT will be on site to discuss current job vacancies and the range of different career paths that are available within support roles across the business. They will also be offering immediate interviews at the event for suitable candidates who have official identification with them.

As an employer, OGAT offers many benefits for its employees, including:

When asked what it’s like working at ̨swag, Niamh, Science Teacher said:

“The support within the school is exceptional and has been something that I’ve found really reassuring since joining the ̨swag Family. The Senior Leadership Team always supports your decisions and the behaviour system is so effective.

“I think because of this culture, I’ve felt comfortable implementing new and effective strategies and seeing the fantastic results produced is very rewarding.”

Jacqueline, who works in a support role, added:

“I enjoy working in a supportive working environment overall. It’s great coming to work every day knowing that you’re all working together for the same cause.

“It makes me smile knowing that we are giving all students the chance for them to move to the next chapter of their lives with the good qualifications and taking with them fabulous memories. It is the greatest reward anyone can wish for.”

For those who are interested in becoming a teacher, the event will have representatives from The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) in attendance to offer guidance and advice on training to teach. OGAT is proud to be a founding trust of the NIoT which is England's new research hub and teacher and leader training and development provider.
