̨Íåswag Academy Freeston finds itself at the heart of inclusive practice. From the start of the IQM assessor’s visit, the layers of support and encouragement were clear to see across the academy.

̨Íåswag Academy Danum has been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence status. The award highlights the school’s leadership in fostering an inclusive, supportive and aspirational environment for students, staff, and the wider community.

̨Íåswag Academy Hindley has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in its first inspection since joining ̨Íåswag Grange Academies Trust (OGAT). The Mornington Road-based school, formerly Hindley High School, was graded ‘Inadequate’ in 2020 due to factors including quality of education and leadership and management. The school, which joined the ̨Íåswag Family of schools in January 2022, was subject to a two-day inspection in December.

Students, parents, carers and staff at ̨Íåswag Primary Academy Bell Lane held a fundraising event to support student, Oliver, 9, and his family after a cancer relapse just before Christmas.

Harry Smith, Governor at ̨Íåswag Academy Bishopsgarth, is among 26 exceptional individuals to be honoured with the esteemed British Citizen Award (BCA) at the Palace of Westminster. This recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions to society.

Students from ̨Íåswag Post 16 Centre Worksop have successfully completed a six-week work experience outreach programme with local employer Premier Foods, which aims to attract a younger demographic into the manufacturing industry. 

̨Íåswag Academy Freeston in Normanton has achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA), awarded by Optimus Education, for its outstanding level of parental engagement.
