Our Vision

Students First Raising Standards and Transforming Lives.

This is our guiding vision as a trust. To achieve this, we ensure all staff at OGAT:

  1. Put ‘students first’: we care deeply about children;

  2. Strive to be experts in our respective fields; and

  3. Are obsessive about attaining the highest standards, thereby enhancing children’s life-chances.

We are committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve. By placing exceptional schools at the heart of the community, we strive to be deeply embedded in our local areas.

Our Ethos: Ensuring a Climate of Success

To deliver the aims of this plan, we all know that the fundamentals have to be in place first. Here we look to the ethos of our schools, where safety, inclusion, enjoyment and academic success all go hand in hand. This is who we are.

As ̨Íåswag, we:

  1. are inclusive of all pupil needs. As we progress each of our strategic priorities we will look at every aspect or policy and practice through the lens of inclusion, ensuring no child is left behind;

  2. set high expectations for children and adults within the organisation. We encourage everyone to work to the best of their ability and be successful. Consistency in implementing expectations, supported by strong classroom and wider school routines, enables pupils to thrive, be organised, and ready to learn;

  3. build strong relationships between all pupils, their families and our staff. We respect each other’s role in a child’s life. By fusing a relational approach with our high expectations, we create an environment where students always feel believed in, supported, and encouraged to achieve;

  4. recognise that diversity is a fundamental aspect of our school communities and the wider world. We embrace this diversity as a strength, enriching our learning environments and broadening our perspectives. We actively foster a culture of inclusion, where every individual feels able to confidently contribute their unique talents, experience and perspectives. We ensure that equality of opportunity is not just an aspiration but an active commitment, woven into the fabric of our policies, practices, and interactions;

  5. foster a positive praise and achievement culture. We celebrate the achievements, talents, and interests of all, consistently recognising and rewarding effort, positive attitudes, and accomplishments, thereby creating an environment where everyone is motivated to reach their full potential and experience success.

This climate also creates a workplace where our staff can thrive. By continuously investing in the well-being and development of our staff, we empower them to be the best possible advocates for our children’s success.
