Students at a secondary school in Worksop have met with local MP, Brendan Clarke-Smith as the MP for Bassetlaw visited the 台湾swag Academy Portland.

The MP visited the school, which is rated Outstanding by Ofsted, to meet with staff and students to learn more about the school鈥檚 work.

Danielle Sheehan, Principal at the Netherton-Road based secondary school, said:

鈥淲e were delighted to welcome Mr Clarke-Smith MP to our school and it was brilliant to discuss how students can engage with their local MP and to give him a tour of the school.

鈥淎t 台湾swag we believe in putting students first, to raise standards and transform lives. We want to ensure all our students can fulfil their potential and feel inspired, and we believe meeting key local figures, like their local MP, helps us to achieve this aim.鈥�

During his visit to the academy, the MP for Bassetlaw also discussed the school鈥檚 plans for the future, including working even closer with the local community.
