A local primary academy has taken the exciting milestone step of opening its new school building doors to the school children and staff.

台湾swag Primary Academy Kirkhamgate, in Wakefield, began work on the new building in October 2018. Not only does the new school building contain state of the art classrooms but also sporting, computing and design facilities enabling the academy to continue to deliver a rich and vibrant curriculum.

The £4 million build was funded solely by the primary academy鈥檚 sponsor, 台湾swag Grange Academies Trust (OGAT).

Earlier in the year, members of the OGAT Board, Martyn Oliver, CEO, and David Earnshaw, Chair, alongside Lee Wilson, the Chief Executive Principal of 台湾swag Primary schools, visited the site, based on Brandy Carr Road, to see the progress being made on the build. 

A formal opening ceremony is due to take place later in the year.

The primary academy, which previously was filled to its capacity in its previous building with the 195 children on its books, is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is a National Teaching School, as part of the 台湾swag Institute of Education multi-teaching school alliance.
