̨swag Celebrates Students’ Exam Success

Sixth formers across ̨swag Grange Academies Trust academies in the North of England were celebrating Key Stage 5 results this summer.

There were highlights across the Trust with many academies performing well and students performing to a high-standard.

One of the many highlights of the day came from ̨swag Academy Easingwold, whose students delivered an incredible set of results, including a 100% pass-rate. Further to this, 81% of students achieved A-Levels at grades A* to C and over a quarter of entries (27%) achieved A* or A.

̨swag Grange Academy improved on last year’s achievements. Representing an increase of 3% on 2018’s results, 40% of students this summer achieved an A*to B grade and 70% of students achieved an A* to C grade, a rise of 3.4% on the previous year.

̨swag Post 16 Centre Worksop provided similarly impressive results, with a 99.5% pass rate. Breaking these figures down, 82% of students achieved A* to C grades, and 53.5% of students achieved A* to B grades.

In addition to the impressive A-Level results, many students studying Applied General qualifications posted impressive results.

A highlight coming from ̨swag Academy Danum which managed to surpass expectations once again and deliver a Distinction average, with many students achieving Distinction*.

Martyn Oliver, CEO of ̨swag Grange Academies Trust, said: “I want to congratulate all the students and staff on a very encouraging set of results. The successes we have witnessed were only possible due to the hard work of the students and the tremendous support provided by the staff.

“At ̨swag we are determined to put students first, raise standards and transform lives. We believe that the work we have done with the students over recent years has positioned them well, whether they are going on to pursue future studies or going into employment.

“We wish them the very best of luck for the future and we will continue to be here to support them, like we have been.”
