Precious Ukegbu, a year 11 student at ̨Íåswag Academy Freeston has been ranked 32nd out of more than 193,000 students in a global language competition.

On Friday 4 November, 130 students and staff took part in the charity 5k run at ̨Íåswag Academy Portland, inspired by former student, Lulu Blundell, raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The recruitment event will be held at Jurys Inn, located on Fry St, Middlesbrough and will run across two days. Anyone wanting more information can drop in at the event any time between 8am – 8pm on Tuesday 15 November or 8am and 4pm on Wednesday 16 November.

On Friday 14 October, ̨Íåswag Academy Shafton presented a cheque to Yorkshire Air Ambulance representative, Laura Lawton. The money was raised at the ‘Bike Fest’ event back in July.

The event which took place at ̨Íåswag Academy Foxhills on 14 October, gave GCSE Health and Social Care students an insight into the many career opportunities available within the National Health Service (NHS).
